through Yahoo! Groups. This is an open
discussion group of questions and answers supplied by other users
and CG Software. You can also post suggestions and tips in the forum.

Q:
What is the difference between the Single User, 10 User version
and Site License?
A:
The Single User is virtually the same as the demo
except there is no restriction on the number of records created
and all annoying reminder screens removed. If you are looking to
use Computer Admin Lite or Pro on a single computer as it was designed
then this is the version you want.The Single User version is a standalone
application and no other software is required.
The
10 User license, which requires a FileMaker Pro, will
allow up to 10 users (with FileMaker Pro 5.5 or higher) simultaneous
access to the Computer Admin Lite or Pro files..
The
Site License allows an unlimited number of users to
access the Computer Admin Lite or Pro files over a network utilitzing
FileMaker Pro. The Site License also offers full access to modify
all layouts, scripts and field definitions. To make modifications
you will also need a registered copy of Filemaker Pro 5.5 or higher.
The
Site License is the ONLY license that includes "full access"
to the Computer Admin files.

Q:
Can I customize the layouts and add new fields?
A:
If you purchase a site license of Computer Admin you will be supplied
with the master password which, when used with a registered copy
of Filemaker Pro 5 or higher, will allow you to access and modify
all layouts, field definitions, scripts, etc.
NOTE:
Once you alter the structure of Computer Admin you may not be able
to easily integrate future updates.
Q:
What is the difference between the demo versions and the registered
versions?
A:
The demo versions of our products are fully functional. They contain
the same features at the registered versions of our products. The
only difference is our demo versions are limited to only 25 records.
Purchasing the registered version will remove this limitation.

Is there a way we could make our own reports in Computer Admin
and are there fields that we could set to our own needs?

With a copy of FileMaker Pro (available from www.filemaker.com)
and the Full Access version of Computer Admin you can add/delete
or modify all layouts, scripts, buttons and fields and more. Full
Access is available with the Site License only.

How do I upgrade to the latest version of Computer Admin? Is
there anything special I need to do, or more importantly, not do?

from version 2.0 or later

1. Make a backup of your original files.
2. Make sure your old files are closed.
3. Open Computer Admin Pro (or Lite) and click the "Prefs"
button near the top of the screen.
4. Select the tab labeled "Tools"
5. Click the button named "Import data from Computer Admin
2.2"
6. Follow the onscreen prompts.

Is there a way for multiple users to access/update the database
at the same time?
A:
Currently the only way to network the files is to have a copy of
FileMaker Pro on each machine needing access to the files.

Can we just drop the Computer Admin files on our FileMaker Server?
A: Yes.
Computer Admin will work in your current FileMaker Server v. 5 or
higher.

Can I get a printed version of the manual?
A:
Currently we only offer a downloadable version of the manual. The
manual is in pdf format and can be printed on any standard laser
or injet printer.

Do you offer a money back guarentee?
A: All CG software
products come with a full 30-day money back guarantee.
If you are not perfectly happy with the software you bought, you
may get your money back in 30 days of purchase. Rather than resorting
to the guarantee
